District 1: Northwest MLS Listings


Central Richmond: The Central Richmond district, which sits just north of the Golden Gate Park, is a mix of single family homes and multiunit buildings. Geary St. is the main transportation route into the downtown area and towards the beach, with shopping and restaurants along the way.

Inner Richmond: The Inner Richmond lies just north of the Golden Gate Park and is within walking distance to the de Young Museum and the Academy of Sciences, both world class museums, along with other beautiful settings within the park. If you like Chinese food and culture, then Clement St. is the place to go, which authentic Chinese cuisine, cultural shopping and exotic foods at numerous grocery stores.

Lake: This exclusive neighborhood runs on the south side of the Park Presidio, North of California Street. Some of the homes along Lake St. boast gorgeous views of the Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands. Jordan Park / Laurel Heights: Shop along variety of store fronts on California Street at the Laurel Village Shopping Center and you will be greeted by many happy mothers and their babies. This is because The California Pacific Medical Center is right down the street, with and excellent reputation for their maternity ward. This neighborhood also offers up scale boutique along Sacramento Street and is home to the JCC or Jewish Community Center.

Lone Mountain: Home of the University of San Francisco and the amazingly beautiful St Ignatius Church. Lone Mountain is within walking distance to the Golden Gate Park and offers the conveniences of shopping on Geary St. Multiunit residences are primarily found in this neighborhood.

Outer Richmond: As you go further out in the Richmond you will end up at the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the historic Sutro Heights Park. Just north you can hike in Lincoln Park which oversees Land’s End. This area does get the weather, as fog rolls in over the water and through the Golden Gate.

Sea Cliff: This exclusive neighborhood sits overlooking Marin Headlands, the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s between Lincoln Park, home to the Palace of the Legion of Honor, and is within walking distance to China Beach, Baker Beach and Park Presidio. Known for some truly spectacular views. It is also home to a few very well known celebrities.
