District 4: Twin Peaks West MLS Listings


Balboa Terrace: Bordering the mansions in St. Francis Wood, Balboa Terrace offers detached single family homes in an upscale setting. Close to shopping in West Portal and along Ocean Ave. This very nice neighborhood offers a little taste of suburban life in the middle of the city.

Diamond Heights: This is a pocket of land sitting above Glen Park and Noe Valley. You can primarily find very affordable condos in larger town house style complexes. Some of the views of the downtown skyline and East Bay hills are simply gorgeous.

Forest Hill: This very exclusive neighborhood sits amongst the trees of Forest Hill. Larger more expensive detached homes of various styles can be found here. Turnover is low as people love to live in this pocket of the city.

Forest Hill Extension: Forest Hill Extension is just that, an extension of Forest Hill. However these homes, primarily detached single family homes, are not quite as expensive. Offering a peaceful family neighborhood with transportation opens, shopping and is removed from the "Hustle and Bustle"

Forest Knolls: Surrounding the southern side of Mt. Sutro and behind the University of California Medical Center, Forest Knolls offers a very quite neighborhood of mid-century modern homes. Located in a canyon willed with tress and dynamic landscapes.

Ingleside Terrace: Home of the original race track, which becomes apparent when you drive around the neighborhood. It’s a neighborhood that surrounds a large oval, made up of mid-size to larger detached Craftsman homes along with various larger estates of differing styles. The mix of homes and the close proximity to conveniences and transportation options, makes this the anchor neighborhood to the area below Ocean Ave.

Midtown Terrace: Similar in location and style of homes to Forest Knolls, Midtown Terrace is made up of Mid-Century detached homes and is located on the western hillside of Twin Peaks. This location is removed from conveniences but gains in views, style and affordability.

Miraloma Park: Miraloma Park is full of very nice semi-detached San Franciscan Craftsman style single family homes building in the 20s-30s. Close to shopping and transportation and some serious weather during parts of the year. It is also home to Mt. Davidson and the giant cross marking its top.

Monterey Heights: Located next to very exclusive St. Francis Wood, Monterey Heights also offers up some of the most amazing homes in the area. The area boasts a variety of architectural styles, tremendous views and quite taste.

Mount Davidson Manor: Mount Davidson Manor sits below Mt. Davidson and closer to the conveniences to Ocean Ave. In this nice quite neighborhood you can find Craftsman style homes built in the 20s and 30s. The roads in this neighborhood intertwine, creating a more dynamic neighborhood feel.

Sherwood Forest: Sits in the shadow of Mt. Davidson, albeit on the western side. On the few streets in this area find Mid-Century homes, sometimes on steep lots filled with Eucalyptus trees.

St. Francis Wood: One of the most exclusive neighborhoods of San Francisco. St. Francis Wood is the option for those who want a more sophisticated classic neighborhood, without the hustle and bustle of the city. Exquisite and larger homes of different styles make this neighborhood a favorite.

Sunnyside: A great alternative to Glen Park while still being close to its conveniences. This affordable neighborhood encompasses San Francisco State College and sit far below the south side Mt. Davidson. Primarily smaller single family homes, the best location in this area is north of Monterey St. heading up into hill of Mt. Davidson.

West Portal: West Portal is a fantastic little neighborhood close to prestigious St. Francis Wood and Forest Hill. It offers a variety of neighborhood shopping and conveniences, including light rail MUNI to downtown. Primarily single family detaches Craftsman style homes from the 20s and 30s.

Westwood Highlands: This upscale but affordable community is based below and south of Mt. Davidson. It is a quite neighborhood surrounded by other very similar neighborhoods filled with detached Craftsman style homes.

Westwood Park: If you are looking for affordability and be secluded in a nice neighborhood, then Westwood Park is a great option. Providing the conveniences of Ocean Ave. while living in somewhat of a suburban setting.
