District 8: Northeast MLS Listings


Downtown: Known for the hustle and bustle of Union Square, Downtown offers a unique living environment for those who thrive on the activity of the city. Close to the Financial Center, Nob Hill, and shopping, Downtown offers some affordable condo living and the felling of living in a big city.

Financial District / Barbary Coast: There are some very nice condo complexes in the Financial District. Mostly known as the financial center of the west coast, this area offers a sophisticated living environment with amenities at your fingertips. The Barbary Coast is known as the Red-Light district on 1850’s, now these older brick buildings and tight alleys are home to some of the most amazing restaurants and galleries in the city.

Nob Hill: Best knows for the world class hotels on top of the hill, Nob Hill is the pinnacle of excellence of San Francisco. It’s conveniently located above Union Square and the Financial district, with prestigious condo complexes, smaller condo buildings, classic Co-op buildings and a few Victorian mansions.

North Beach: Knows for the Italian heritage and great restaurants, North Beach is a neighborhood destination. Locals and tourists alike flock to the area on the weekends and take advantage of the fun and festive atmosphere, great restaurants and lively bar scene.

North Waterfront: Wrapping around the north east corner of San Francisco, North Waterfront encompasses Hyde St. Pier, Fisherman’s Wharf, the boardwalk leading towards the Ferry Building, the Financial District and the Barbary Coast.

Russian Hill: Best know for the views and Lombard’s crocked street, Russian Hill boasts some fabulous homes, condos, sophistication and style. Offering shopping, entertainment and restaurants on Hyde Street as well as is North Beach, Russian Hill is a fabulous old neighborhood to live in.

Telegraph Hill: Conveniently located within walking distance to North Beach and the Financial Center, Telegraph Hill is also best known for Coit Tower which rises above the north east corner of the city as a beacon to the neighborhood and the city itself.

Tenderloin: Not the most desirable location in the city, known for soup kitchens and homelessness. This is an area close to downtown and does offer some conveniences within the neighborhood.

Van Ness / Civic Center: The Van Ness corridor ends at Civic Center at Market and run north to California St. and into Pacific Heights. There are a few condo complexes that are along this corridor and offer city living at much more affordable prices.
