District 9: Central East MLS Listings

Bernal Heights: A very eclectic neighborhood offering a great community atmosphere. There are some areas that are more in demand on the hillside, primarily on the north side of Cortland St., where you can find all your local shopping and conveniences. On top of the hill you will find the beautiful open space of Bernal Heights Park.

Central Waterfront / Dogpatch: Best known to locals as the Dogpatch, this is a neighborhood with a mix of smaller Victorian homes that are set back into the area, as well as renovated brick warehouses converted to condos and newly built condo lofts.

Inner Mission: A very large area with older turn of the century building along with some newly built condo lofts. People refer to the Hot Valencia Corridor as the new evening destination filled with great restaurant, bars and entertainment. Shopping is found on Valencia and Mission Streets, transportation options and culture are a bound in this affordable and historic area.

Mission Bay: One of the last areas in the city that is under construction. Home to the Giants and AT&T ball park, the new UCSF campus and commercial office buildings, Mission Bay has brought jobs and sports to the area. Condos buyers will find the best options along McCovey Cove, with very nice condo complexes and lots of open spaces to run and walk along the waterfront.

Potrero Hill: Locals love living on Potrero Hill. This dynamic neighborhood with fantastic downtown and East Bay views, especially on the north side, includes Victorians homes, stylish condo complexes, converted warehouses and plenty of neighborhood amenities.

South Beach: Best known for some of the best West Coast condo complexes such as The Brannon, Infinity Towers and One Rincon Hill. South Beach has been expanding over the last decade and will continue to grow over the next. Bordered by the Embarcadero waterfront from the Ferry Building down towards the Giants Stadium, this very sought after neighborhood provided a high level of ease and conveniences for people who want a full service condo environment.

South of Market (SoMa): South of Market is often simplified as everything under Market St. , however this is not the case. SoMa is easily remembered as everything south of Market St, from the Moscone Center and 5th St, all the way to Division. This is a diverse and very urban neighborhood, a mix of industrial lofts, old multi-unit buildings and commercial warehouses and companies.

Yerba Buena: This is the area surrounding the Moscone Center and home to some of the best condo complexes in the city. The St. Regis, The Four Seasons and the fabulous Millennium Tower are all located here. Close to South Beach and Embarcadero waterfront, it is also close to the Westfield Shopping Center, Powell Street and Union Square.
